WARNING: THIS RELEASE IS SPOKEN WORD, CONTAINS VERY LITTLE MUSIC AND THE ‘F’ WORD FUCK.
National Elf are proud to present Alan’s Jars, a collection of spoken word pieces by Graham Thompson.
Graham is a poet and wordsmith from the Croydon area, he has been writing since last December. He describes his style as ‘ turning on the tape machine and seeing what comes out’. What comes out I’m sure you’ll agree is rather special.
His free flowing stream of conscience style of wordplay invokes a rollercoaster of emotions; vivid portrayals of everyday life will strike a chord in the hardest of hearts, his witty verse and bittersweet reminiscing will bring a smile to the saddest of faces. This is the sound of a man bearing his soul and searching for meaning within the choas of everyday existence. A very bright future awaits him. Enjoy.
Yn Fyw/Live 2005 consists of recordings from gigs I did in December 2005. The band consisted of myself, Peter Richardson (drums, bass on 6,7,11 keyboard on 11) and Alun Tan Lan (guitar, banjo, bass on 1, backing vocals). All recordings are taken from a gig in Buffalo Bar Cardiff except tracks 1,2,7 which are from London 12 Bar Club and 9 Leeds Tap and Tin. The sound was mixed by Tom Rogers.
Face Dripping was released in December of 2010. Recorded and mixed at Gus’ Dungeon by myself and Stephen Black. I play a lot of synthesizers and sing a bit, Stephen also sings a bit on it. (It’s mostly instrumental though).
